U.S. OFFICIAL IN RUMANIA

BODY FOOND NEAR SALZBURG LONDON, Feb. 25. , Reuter’s Vienna correspondent says that the death of the American Naval Attache in Rumania (Captain, Eugene Karp), whose battered body was found in a railway tunnel near Salzburg on Thursday, is baffling the authorities. Captain Karp was a close friend of, Robert Vogeler, the American who was sentenced in Budapest last week to 15 years’ imprisonment for spying. The Austrian Minister of the Interior (Mr Oskar Helmer) said to-day that Captain Karp’s death was a result of foul play.
