BALKAN ASSETS IN U.N.

Bulgaria, Hungary And Rumania x i WASHINGTON, Feb. 244. The United States last night froze the American assets of citizens of Bulgaria, Hungary, and Rumania. The Attorney-General (Mr J. Howard McGrath) announced that they .would not be allowed to draw from bank accounts and other assets in the United States. The United States- Government had already several relations with Bulgaria. The Secretary of State (Mr Dean Acheson) hinted that the United States might , eventually break with Hungary and Rumania too. He said that both were making it increasingly difficult to maintain diplomatic missions, and it was virtually impossible to protect American citizens there.
