CHARGE AGAINST DOCTOR
ALLEGED MURDER OF CANCER PATIENT NEW YORK, February 20. The trial of a doctor, Hermann Sander, for murder, began to-day with the selection of a jury. The assembly of the jury may take up to three days. Sander is aged 41. He is charged with first degree murder for allegedly injecting 40 cubic centimetres of air into the bloodstream of a cancer patient, Mrs Abide Borroto, aged 59, on December 4. Sander recorded the injections in the hospital records, which a nurse brought to the attention of the hospital authorities several days after Mrs Borroto had died. The case has aroused tremendous interest in the United States.
