30 PLAYERS CHOSEN; 13 FROM WALES (Rec. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 14. Thirty international players comprise the first post-war British Rugby team to tour New Zealand and Australia. The team, which was announced to-day, will assemble in London on March 31 and sail from Liverpool the following day. \ Because of examinations jio university players could accept invitations. Thirteen players come from Wales, the favourite for the international championship, nine from Ireland, last season’s title-holder, five from Scotland, and three from England. The captain has -not yet been appointed. W. B. Cleaver, normally a-stand-off half for his > club and country, is chosen-as a full-back, where his excellent kicking should be valuable. Not one Englishman finds a place among the threequarters. The team is;— Full-backs: G. W. Norton (Ireland), W. B. Cleaver (Wales). Wing three-quarters: D. W. C. Smith (Scotland), Ken Jones (Wales), M. F. Lane (Ireland), M. C. Thomas (Wales). Centre three-quarters: B. L. Williams (Wales), J. Matthews (Wales), N. J. Henderson (Ireland), R. Macdonald (Scotland). Stand-off half-backs: J. W. Kyle (Ireland), Preece (England). Scrummage half-backs: R. Willis (Wales), A. W. Black (Scotland), G. Rimmer (England). Forwards: K. D. Mullen (Ireland), D. M. Davies (Wales), G. M. Budge (Scotland), C. Davies (Wales), T. Clifford (Ireland), J. D. Robins (Wales), D. Hayward (Wales), J. E. Nelson Ireland), R. John (Wales), J. R. C. Matthews (England), P. W. Kininmontli (Scotland), R. Stephens (Wales), J. W. McKay (Ireland), R. T. Evans (Wales), J. S. McCarthy (Ireland). The manager will be Surgeon-Cap-tain L. B. Osborne and tne secretary Mr E. L. Savage.
