FISHING EXCURSION.

ACTOR CATCHES A BRIDE. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 3. Married against the wishes of betparents on the night before her husband left Sydney for Auckland, Miss Jean McEnvoy decided to follow by a later vessel. She arrived by the Awatea to-day and was met by her husband, Chick Arnold, a comedian in Frank Neil’s revue company, now playing in Auckland. It was a runaway marriage, said Miss McEnvoy to an interviewer. She was president of St. Vincent’s Hospital younger set committee, and met Arnold at a social function. She was in Brisbane while the company was playing there. “We were out fishing in Brisbane when we decided to marry,” said Arnold. “I literally caught my bride on a, fishing line.”
