WIN AGAINST HORORATA

Perfect weather prevailed for a match played over the week-end at the Mount Harding links, Methven, between Methven and Hororata. The Met hven team won by 7 games to 5. The scores were as follow, Methven names first:—

Four-ball—D. M. Christie and A. G. Gerard beat E. W. Syme and T. H. Richards; D. G. Wallace and P. A. Watson lost to R. Murray and W. Stone; L. A. Watson and A. R. Gourley beat H. A. Olliver and A. Olliver; S. M. Jackman and T. E. John beat J. Olliver and A. Harris.

Singles—D. M. Christie beat E. W. Syme, R. G. Gerard lost to T. H. Richards, D. G. Wallace lost to R. Murray, P. A. Watson lost to W. Stone, L. A. Watson lost to H. A. Oliver, A. R. Gourley beat A. Oliver, S. M. Jackman beat J. Olliver, T. E, John beat A. Harris.

T. E. John won the flag match held by the Methven Club on Saturday, carrying the flag to the first green. J. McAnulty and J. Temple also carried it past the 18th hole.
