“NUDITY” GOWNS.
PARIS FASHION DECREE. NEXT WINTER’S EVENING WEAR. lUnited Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, August 2.
The Paris correspondent of the “Daily Herald” states that “nudity gowns,” with a flesh-coloured underdress beneath lace, are decreed by the fashion kings for next winter’s evening wear. Tall, slender women will rejoice in close-fitting mermaid gowns with fish-tail trains, while the plump will, take refuge in the Directoire style, emphasising a short woman’s good points and concealing her defects.
