CHRISTCHURCH, This Day,

Nurses in the employ of the North Canterbury Hospital Board are in many instances to get increases in salary. The new salaries range from £37 10s a j-ear for a pupil nurse (old scale £3O) to £95 for a registered nurse (old scale £75). •Increases are also provided for firstand second-year sisters, making the salaries £l2l and £l3O respectively. The maximum for sisters is £IBO in the seventh year, with £2OO after 15 years, and £220 for night sisters.
