POWER OP BRITISH NAVY ADMITTED.

(Received October 5, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, October 4. A correspondent in Amsterdam states that tbo Gorman Press is pointing out that the campaign which smashed Serbia and opened up Constantinople caused Germany to underestimate the influence of British sea power on the Continental war. The "Tagos Zeitung" declares:— "Germans are now realising how British sea power holds the Allies together, enabling a victorious prosecution of tho war." The "Yolk Zeitung," similarly commenting, adds:—" Germans never rightly estimated tho. strength of the British Empire, and arc now, uniortunatcly, compelled to do so."
