METHVEN
MethvetvHorse Parade
The annual parade of draught horses was held at Methven, at the conclusion of the stock sale yesterday. Only three competitors came forward in the agod stallion class, hut what was lacking in numbers was made up m qual- • itv The horses were judged by Mr G*. Cormack, senr., of Christchurch, and placed in the following order:— Selwyn'B Pride, by Baron Everost, dam Peggy; owner, Mr W. * razor, iO Royal Oak, by Royal Grown dam by Highland Princo; owner, Mr \Y. I^tham, Lauriston. Baron Carlton, by Baron's Pnde, 1 dam May of Robb ; owners, Messrs J. and A. J. Wilson, Methven. The winner takes the £5 prize. In' tho three-year-old class , there wero no entries-
