ASHBURTON—THURSDAY.
(Before Mr C. A. Wray. R.M.) Police Cases.—An old man named Smith was charged with vagrancy and remanded, as he would probably be sent to the Old Men's Home.—Mary Petty, charged with drunkenness and using bad language at the Ashburton railway station, was convicted and sentenced to seven days on each charge, to run concurrently. Civil Cases.—Ashburton Publishing Company v Harry Francis, £3 15s 6d ; iudgment for amount claimed and costs. P. M. Jones v Wm. Stewart, £1 10s ; judgment for amount aud costs. Flora Black yE.
