Christchurch, February 15. A fairly large entry of stock in the yards to-day. The weather whs very hot. " Fat Caisle r-Small entry. Prices firm, at last quotations. Stoke Cattlb—Only a very small entry of young stock. No sales of importance, but the dairy cow pens well filled. Demand for this class continued firm, and exceptionally good prices were again realised for best sorts ot springers. Pigs—Entry medium. Lots were all cleared at an advance on late quotations. Store Shmsp— Large entry, lut the demand, especially towards the close, was not quite so animated »s of late. Cros«bred lambs sold from 9s to 10s lOd ; forward two-tooth crossbred ewes, 12s 7d to 13s. - Fat Lambs—The entry was smaller than for several weeks past, and the demand was not so keen owing to both I factories being filled; hence a slight i shrinkage in values. Highest price rei corded was 13s 91 ; Fat Shbkp -Fair entry of fat bheep, a i large proportion being medium merinos, with a sprinkling of heavy crossbred ewes and prime crossbred wethers. These remained firm at recent values up to 17s sd, Many very prime wethers were sold from 16s to that price Owing to the full factories, lines of wethers and maiden ewes were duller than recently. Values sustained a decline in consequence.
