(per press association) London, February 3 The wool sales have been postponed. Choicest Australian butter is very scarce, and is Belling at over 100s per cwt. Importers are anxious to clear stocks before other shipments arrive. The Dane j have lowered the prict of their article in order to secure the market. 900 tons of Danish butter will arrive in London on Tuesday. The best authorities in London consider that the unsoundness of New Zealand butter is due to the wet season experienced in the colany. The finest New Zealand cheese is selling at from 54a to 56s per cwt. The Transvaal loan of £600,000, was subscribed fourteen times over. Buenos Ayrim, February 4. The Banca Roma Rio Plata here has suspended payment. The manager admits thfl loss of 1,000,0U0 dollars' worth of gold in speculation.
