Joseph E»rn«baw for laroeny as a bailee of a cart and harness *v acquitted. Wm Watson, alias Wllktns, alias Ob»s. Amoi Button, pleaded guilty te a charge of larceny from t> dwelling. He 1b an old offender, baying been sentenced m 1866 to fire jeirs for telling arms to the .Natives, and alooe that to thtee years and two yoars ! for laroeny. Sentence was also deferred. The hearlDg of the charge of forgery agalnat Ey. Humbling oceupled a considerable time, the Jury bringing In a verdict of " Guilty" after a short retirement. Hambliog forged an endorsement to a promissory note, the peculiar olrcumctaboe In the case being that a few days after the bill fell due be paid the anroant but did not get possession of the document, and the endorsement being fouod to be a forgery, an Information was laid against him. The Jury recommended tbe prisoner to the mercy of the Court, and Jodge Richmond remarked that tbe xeoommendatlon was a prrper one.
