Ohbistohuboh. August 28. The weather was threatening all morning, and about two o'olook the rain oame m torrents. This had its effect on the attend* ants, whioh was small all through the sale. Cattle. — A rather large entry of fat oattle and made np to a large extent of fairly good beasts. Prices were low, and bidding was anything but brisk. Best beef made from 16a to 17a per 1001 b, and inferior np to 16a. There was a rather better entry of stores this, week, including a good few youDg cattle. For these the demand -was fairly good, but other Borts were negleoted. Dairy oattle were a small entry, with prices at last week'B quotations. Superior sorts were well sup* ported, but not many sales were effeoted. Sheep— There was an entry of about 10,000 fat sheep, several store pens, as well H all the fat pens, being crowded. The attendance was good until the rain came on, when tLere was a noticeable decrease m buyers. This bad a depressing effeot on the Bale, and latt week's rates were hardly main* tamed. Storeß were m brißk demand, especially for the better sortß. A lma of eroesbred ewes m lamb made 8a 4d, and another line of good crossbred wethers made lls 6d. Pigs. — Both porkere and baooners were m good force. Prices, however, were decidedly low, and a drop of about 5s a head waß noticeable. Porkers were especially negleoted, and were hard to quit at any price.
