London, May 7. ' Messrs W. O'Brien and Harrington, M.P.'s, who are at present serving sentences for pffences under the Crimes Apt, have arriyed m London to give evidence before the Commission. Mr O'Brien j 3 wearing the prison clothes, having refused his own apparel which was offered to him for the occasion.

The cross-examination of Mr Parnell by Sir R. E. Webster, was continued to-day. .Mr Parnell explained that bis speech of iBBr referred to the Ribbon organisation. He had never hearc] that the League had paid a hundred guineas for the purpose of defending Moonlighters who were tried at Cork m 1881. Sir R. E. Webster indicated that U;e subject bad been discussed m Parliament m 1882, whereon Mr Parnell said that he had heard that the League had given a cheque for tbe defence of Q'Connell, who shot Leary. He admitted having personally paid towards the defence of some men who were charged with a serious crime.
