Messrs Goldebrough, Mort and Co. Limited, report under date Sydney, April 24 : —
A better enquiry has prevailed of late for prime samples of Tuscan wheat, other sorts being m weak demand. Paroels fit for seed purposes meet with ready sale. In ohiokwheat business has been easier, the large quantities of weevily m the marked materially affeoting prices. Oats are m short supply, and are Belling at a slight advanoe on last week's rates. Potatoes and ohaff are firm. We quote : — Milling Wheat.— New Zealand Tusoan to 4s lOd, other sorts from 4s 4d.
Chickwheat— 3s 3d to 3s 7d. Oats— seed and feed to 3s 6d, inferior from Bs. Barley— Cape seed 3s 4d to 3s 6d. Potatoes— New Zealand £4 to £4 Qs. Chaff— New Zealand £6 to £6 5s per ton.
