A STEAMER ASHORE

Wellington, February 2.0. At ten o'clock this evening pilot Sims telephoned to town that a small steamer had run on the rooks near the Pilot Station when entering the harbor. The vt>snel is believed to be the steamer Waitspu, from Havelook, but as the pilot's. o^ew are working at her do further information can be got this evening, but it is believed she Is fall of water, and has been beaohed. The steamer Walbi has been despa'ched to render assistance.
, Wellington, February 21. The. steamer Waliapn, 40 tons, from Piotoh to Nelson went ashore In Worser Bay inside the harbor last night. The Wulhl went to her assistance but help was onteroptouflly refused, the people on board even refusfog to give the name of the steamer. During night she was lightened and, this morning floated off. The weather is thick at-, tho heads.
