There was a small entry of dogs, only nine appearing' on the ground. The animals, taken all round, can only be obaraoterlaed as a moderate lot, Iv amooth-ooated collies, Mr Gorrfgan'B Sweep, a nioe looking dog, took the first prJae, Mr B mnlngton'a Laoa being second. Mr Houston's Dlok was entered In this class, Dlok ia a fine dog, bat being rough cia ted, he was, of oonrae, dlsquall* fied. In rough-coated collies, Mr D. MoDonald's Prinqe, a dog that carried off ohlef honors at Timarn two years ago, was : awarded first prlza, Mr Hay Smith's Jook being second. As In former years, com,* plaints were made of the ioatility of judging the animals without a praotioal trial of thete capabilities la working sheep.
