ATTACK ON SUAKIM.
THE REBELS IN FORCE. Iby sljsotbio telkgraah— copfbiqht.] (FBR PRESS ABSOCI AnOIC.) (Reoelved September 27, 12.35 p m.) Suakim, September 26. Deserters from the rebels report that Osman Digna's followers number two thousand. The enemy again cannonaded Suakim on Monday night, and several shells fell within the Egyptian lines, but did not explode H.M.S. Gannett, and Forth eventually succeeded m silencing the Arabs. In the morning reconnaisance m force was made from the town by the friendly troops, whereupon Osman Digru immediately advanced. The fire of the Gannett and Forth drove their cavalry into the busb, and again silenced the enemy m the trenches. French and Italian warships have arrived to assist the Garrison, but a fresh attack is expected.

Major-General Grinfell and Colonel Kitchener are en route from England to Egypt, having been ordered to proceed to Suakim.
