THE GERMANS IN AFRICA.

Owing to the hostile attitude of the natives on the coast, the Germans intend to prcclaim the country m a state of siege. A large force of marines has been landed, and the British subjects m the interior are withdrawing under military escort. The Natives are massing, and an engagement is expected shortly.

News has been received here to tbe effect that several Germans have been murdered by natives at Quiloa, a town to the south of this place, where the insurgents have re-hoisted the Sultan's flag.
