He will undertake to provide power at a charge of 7d per mile. The burses at present coat 10£ d per mile, and the result of tho change would be a ikying of £3000 a year. The honorary ranger of the Acolimatlaa. tlon Society reported at the annual meeting that red deer are steadily Increasing In Waltarapa. During the past season several fine stags have been shot. It is understood that one of the best apeolmeos Is to be sent to the Melbourne Exhibition.
