HORSE MARKET
Mr T. Bullock reports for the week ending Saturday, September 22nd:— 28 horses were entered for the day's sale, aud a large proportion, viz , 21 were sold There wero no draughts entered, and the medium draughts brought forward were mostly of an inferior stamp. There were again several inquiries for medium draughts suitable for contract work. For the 21 sold the prices realised were as follows : — Medium draughts, 4 and 5 ye^rolds, light, £14, £14; aged, £11, £12 16«, £14 ; inferior, JE9 ; l : ght harness horses, £6, £6, £10; hacks, £4 ss, £4 10s, £5 153, £7, £7 10-, £8; and two 4-year-olds of a better etamp brought £11 and £12 respectively ; inferior, £2 16?, £3 10a. Sundries— Saddle* and bridles, £1 12s 6d to £4 10s ; tpring trap, £5 ss.
