SEVERE EARTHQUAKE IN GREECE. MANY PERSONS KILLED OR INJURED.
(PBB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Athens, September 10. A severe shock of earthquake has been experienced at Vostitza, a town near the Gulf of liepaato, and Qther towns m the vicinity. Several bouses were wrecked, and many pergons were killed or injured. [Tae Gulf of Lepanto, or Oorlnth, runs for mora than a handled milea op between the peninsula of the Moren aud the mainland, and bears a oloae resemblance to many of the Norwegian fiords. Vobtllza is on the aouthern shore. The whole ! region Is subject to earthquakes, some of which have been of fearful severity, and there are numerous traces of igneous action.
