. Lonhon. Aaßaat 9. Thirteen thousand quarters ot wheat now shipping at Melbourne have been sold at 35s 9d,

London, August 10. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,988,000 quarters, and tor the Continent 352,000 quarters.

The American visible supply of wheat is 25,000,000 bushels.

A first pocket of the new England hop crop has been sold at per cwt.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from their London office, dated August 9th : —

Wheat — The market is easier. The c.i.f. quotation for New Zealand cargoes, August-September bill of lading, is 34s per 4801 b.

Hemp — Medium quality is worth 10s per ton.
