The Chamber believes , that a saving can be effaoted m the cost of education and the better management of the nvllwaya. which will render further ! taxation unnecessary, and that the pro- ' posed one per oent primage duty is a most vexatious Impost, and will give riie to needless trouble to importers and Gastoma officials, and is out of all proportion to the money to be raised."
