A RABBIT DISEASE

Wellington, April 7. Professor Thomas, of Auckland TJnlveraity College, who haa been investigating, at the request of the Government, a disease which haa recently appeared amongst rabbits i a tha Wiiraiapa, left for his home, taking with him several of the dhea~ed anirnale, as well as aome ferrets and stoats, hia intention being to conduct oertafn experiments with them on hia arrival m Auckland. He eatlsßed himself that the disease which has appeared among the rabbits thera is what Is* known as bladder worm, which, although not virulent, Is BUce to oause death m the majority of oases. A fall report will be forwarded to the Government after he has made bis experiments.
