Mexico, April 5. A bull fight took place at Calaya on Sunday, at which convicts were permitted to attend m honor of it being Easter, but were strongly guarded. During the excitement of the fight some persons fired the wooden barricade. As the flames broke out there was a terrible rush fcr all means of exit, where many were trampled to death. Crowds leaped into the arena and were tossed and gored by the maddened bulls. Many were lying helpless around the arena. The number killed was eighteen. Sixty-eight were injured by goring or burnt. Nearly two hundred others were injured.
