The second annual meeting of the New Zealand Alliance* was held yesterday m the Young Men's Christian Aeaoolation rooms, Sir W . Fox presiding. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The income for the year, £712, wai all expended, and £5 credit balance remains. Subscribers to the Alliance number 30C0. Resolutions was passed reaffirming the platform of the Alliance, and endorsing the desirableness of the complote prohibition of the liquor traffic, and condemning Olub licensing.
