SOUTH RAKAIA ROAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting was held on Thursday. Present : Meßßrs Coßter (chairman), Lyttelton, Tuoker, Mulligan, and Stringfellow. The Clerk's report was read. He called the attention of the Board to placeß on Bushy Hark Road where water-races were leaking badly The Chairman undertook to see Mr Baxter on th« subjeot The Chairman stated that the Counoil bad made arrangements tor Mr Joshua Tucker having a supply of dog collars on hand.
Mr Windsor wrote re acorned moneys for Bale of settlement sections, and asking for certain information.
Si-Tbe Ct)t«irman stated that he had replied to this.
The County Council wroto stating that no more culverts were to be removed without special permirsioa.
A number of persons who had been applied to for rates wrote asking that alterations be mado on the roll, as they had disposed of their properties. — Application granted.
Tbo matter of metalling a portion of Bushy Park Road was loft m the hands of Mr Ktringfollow and tne Olerk.
The Clerk was authorised to have race crossings improved on the main river road.
Accounts for £37 19s 2d were passed for payment. The Poundkeeper's book was inspected and the meeting adjourned*
