At a private meeting, at which t66 exporters were present, a Committee was appointed to devise metns to break up the existing shipping monopoly ring. Great complaint* were made ol the persistent favoritism displayed by.certaln companies m the matter of shipping goods. It was proposed to abandon the agreement existing between shippers and the several companies, and to deal freely with all shipping Hoes. rj:
