THE ENGLISH LABOR MARKET
A deputation waited on the Marquis of Salisbury to-day m reference to the puestion of immigration and also to ask the Government to devise means to protect the labor market from foreigners, The Premier m reply said he regretted the Government were unable to assist persons to emigrate, and that m regard to the second requeet of the deputation it would be a most difficult matter to interfere with the influx of foreigners.
