The accounts of the Royal Bank of LivorpooJ, whoaa.atoppage twenty yeara ago was of a scneational obaraoter, the amount involved being over £2,000,000, have just been closed. The last meeting to end the liquidation was held in Liverpool a fow weeks ago when the official liquidator announced that there were no assets. It wsb then resolved to dissolve the bank, and that the books, aocounts, and documents be destroyed by fire six months hence. At the Wolverhampton County Court re* eently on application being made for the dis. oharge of an iDiolvent provision merchant, named Goodall, who was mado bankrupt in 1684, the Judge said the debtor had been guilty of most reckless trading, and ho felt bound to teaoh him a lesson. He had already marked his sense of his conduct by suspending his order of discharge for three years, he Bhould continue the suspension for a further period of ««»ven years.
