The Wellington Radical Reform Association forwarded a protest to the Government against the proposal to alter the education system of the colony. The proprietors of the "Evening PPot"s t" have received a lawyer's letter on behalf of Mr J. Martin, threatening an action for libel with £2000 damages m reepoot of oertain comments" regarding the late suicide of Mrs Martin at the City Hotel, unlflss au apology ia published and the costs paid. The proprietors of the paper have deoided to defend the aotion if brought on. ;
