Taken all ronnd the show of dairy produce was an exoellent one, It was laid out m a pavilion whioh was tastefully decorated with pot plants, flowers, flags, eto. There was a large entry of butter, and on the whole the quality was all that could be desired, some of the samples being really splendid. In the class for the best three pounds of freah butter, without prints, Mrs McGalnness carried off firat honors, Mrs Ashton, second, Mrs Weston's exhibit being highly commended, and Miss Dawsou's commended Mrs McGuinnesa carried off Mr D. Williamaou's special prlzs for the best three ponuds of fresh butter, and Miss Dawson waa successful m gaining Mr Baylis' pr.za for the best four pounds of butter. Mrs Batr secured first honors for the boat three, pounds of powdered butter,: Mrs Weston being second and Miss Dawßon highly o. mmendod. Mrs Barr also took firat prize for the beat display of fancy butter, with Miaa Dawson second, and Mrs Small was highly commended. In the class for tbe best keg of salted butter Mrs Prebble was successful ; Mrs Weston gaining seoond honors. Mrs Small's exhibit was disqualified on ac- j count of being put up m a jar, though it ' waß evident the quality waa excellent, Id the competition for Mr R. Aloorn'a special pnza for tho best keg of salted butter Mrs Small's exhibit was disqualified for the same reason, Mrs Weston seeming the prize. Mrs Sm_.ll carried off all the honora for cheese, oa also for the best side of bacon (smoked). This lady was again first m the class for unsmoked bacon ; Mrs Oroy being second, la the oUbs for the best two hams smoked and unemoked, with speoial prize m eaoh case, Mrs Small carried off the ohlef prize. J. Olson being second m smoked hams and Mrs Oroy m ansmoked. Mrs Groenslado had the best exhibit of heu's eggs, and gained the Judges' verdict ; while Mr Res-ell was awarded a first for his collection of ducks' eggs. Thbre was a largo display t f homo-mado bread. Mrs W. Brebblo aooiued chief houors, Aire Olsen being second, and Mrs Small highly commended. Mrs J. Olsen carried off Mr Jamaica's prige fop home-mad- bread,

and also Mr E. Thomas's prlza for beat bread made from Wakanui Mill flmr, . 'Mrs Small waß awarded the prlz. for the beat collection of dairy produoe, and Mr _sahder'<. special prize. Mrs Weston took the "Press" Company's prlza for the t largest prize taker m butter.
