DOGS.
Mr Cnrrlgan's Fairy secured the first prize m the class for smooth coated collies, Mr James Maben's Soot being second, and Mr Joyiit's Scot third. In rough coaled dogs, Mr B'Uty'e Charlie took the winning ticket, Mr D Broom's dog being second, and Mr Kelly's Roy third. In cattle dogs, Mr J. 0. N. Grigg'a Laddie was the only entry, and was awarded a first prize. Ab at previous shows, many persona complained of the present system of judging the dogs, maintaining that their capabilities m the way of working sheep should be tried. The special prize offered for fox terriers brought out three entries, the palm being awarded to Mr R. McOwen 'a Simla Jock, Mr Seoretan'a Bel voir Tory being seoond, Mr Matson'a Liz waa a nice bitch, but was Bbown under a disadvantage and accordingly had no chance of winning.
