Besides the above, notices were given of a large number of motions and private BUIb, amongst others Sir 6, Grey intimated bis intention of bringing forward the Law Practitioners and Limitations of Votes Bills this session. MANAWATU RAILWAY. The Speaker read a letter from the General Manager of the Manawatu Railway, requesting him to inform' the House that members would be conveyed during the session on that line at half rates on producing Government pass. THE JUBIIiBE ADDRESS. ) The Speaker read a message from the Govenor, Conveying a oopy of a dispatch .from her Majesty's prinoipal Seoretary \ of State, respecting the address to the Qaeon from both Houses of the General Assembly, on tho occasion of her Majesty's Jub'.lee. Sir Henry Holland intimated that " If the address had arrived m time for Sir W. Fl'zherbert and Sir F D. Bell to take it with them when they . attended on her Majesty for a similar purpoßo m connection with the Colonial > Conference, the opportuni'y could have , \ baen taken for them to present this very > beautiful address and its covers to the Queen ln person ; but it would not have beea convenient to reqaest her Majesty to receive the same gentlemen again after a short interval.
