A MINERS' TROUBLE.
Gbbyvouth, September 7. A deputation of three Kumara miners waited on the County Oounoil and Invoked their co-operation and assistance m enabling them to fight their case against Paitmore's application for a injunction to restrain them from sending tbeir t&iilngs Into the Teremakea. They strongly condemned the Land Boards for selling the land on the river bank and the Government for allowing it to be sold when it waa know SO years ago that the miners bad no other place for their tailings One delegate said Pasamore's action was only the beginning of the trouble If they bought him off then raOßt of the others would present Bimllar claims, and If Passmore were successful it meant stopping all mining m the Kumaradistrict, The Counoll will take a legal opinion as to whether- they can grant any pecuniary Assistance, bat m the meantime will tend li Committee to attend a conference of local bodies on the matter.
