Wheat. — The business transpiring is of a limited nature but prices .'are fairly well maintained, 3s 7£i being t'>p valne for Pearl or Tuscan, and 3s 6d to 3s 7d for Hunters, second qiallty parcels are very dull as also ohickwrjeat, the latter ranging from 2a 9i.to_3i Id, OJkTaj—-^ fewDaruela of seed and prime milling- are' moving off at Is lOd to Is lid, but feed" kinds are quiet at la 9i for Wort' arid* tfi : 7d for, the long and inferior descriptions. Barley.— Prime malting is In demand amongsloc*l maltstere, but inferior kiadd only find bnyera for shipment at 33 3d to 3i 6d. Fe^d lines are m better request at I*. 2d to 2a 3d. Beans are quiet at 3a Id to 33 3d, and Peas have only a limited enquiry at 2s 9d for feed, and 3i to 3j 3d for Prussian Blues. Grass Sbfd — The Spring enq-ilrles are: cow coming to hand, chiefly for maohine dressed parcels which are largely held by merchants. Farmers' parcels at present are not asked for, maohine dressed is quoted at 3b tii to 3.91 with moderate business, but it is hard to gait farmers lota at over 23 6d. Oockafoot demand has Bteadied, piioea remain at 41 to 4£d for heavy Beed, and second quality at 3£d to 3|J. Potatoes ate being shipped largely to | Brisbane and Sydney on consignment, they being unsaleable In this market. It is Dot anticipated that any improvement can now take place, the season being : too far advanced and stocks are still very largp. Dairy Produce. — Butter newly made and of prime quality commands Bd, bat Btale and inferior lots are almost uneale able. Cheese ia very dull; several lines are off. ring at 3d to 3£d. and loaf shape ia not worth more than 4dThe above prices are thosa paid to farmers and for delivery, f.o.b. Lyttelton; B&cka extra.
