Without a moment's hesitation fiho rushed out and jumped into a well, from whioh she was afterwards rescued, when abe waa found to be -severely burned, John Phillips, charged with setting fire to the Royal Hotel, was brought; up before Mr Northcroft, R.M. , at Hamilton, to-day, and remanded.
