AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.

Mr Peter Williams (for Friedlander Bros.)- reports for the week ending Tuesday, 26th July, 1887 :— On Saturday, the 23rd Inst., we held onr weekly sale of horses at our East street Horse Bazaar. Tho entry consisted of 18 horses. They were mediums, hacks, and draughts. We sold on account of Mr E. McGrath 10 at the following prices : — Mecium draughts from £14 10s to £18 ; hacks and light harness horses at £5 to £12 10.'. Taking the sale aB a whole It was very dull ; the olaas of horses brought forward not being up to tbe mark. We have buyers foe Brat-class young horses, especially mares. Produce.— Potatoes, 3s to 3s 6d per bag ; carrots, 2s 3d per bag ; mutton, Id to 2d per lb ; bacon, 4d ; carcase pork, 2f d per lb ; cheese, 3d to 4d per lb ; tea, 12s 6d per box. Poultry. — Fowls, Is to 2s 6d per pair. Implements. — Chaff cutter, £3 10s.

At the Ashburtoßi yards on Tuesday, 26th inst., 4920 sheep and 41 head of cattle came forward, and the following aro the prices obtained : — Fat crossbred ewes, 8s to 10s ; fat merino ewes, 4s 6d ; mixed two-tooth crossbreds, 7s Id ; twotooth crossbred wethers, lis 9d ; medium crossbred ewes m lamb, Gs 9d to 8s Id ; crossbred lambs, 6a Id, 8s 5d to 10s lOd. Cattle aro very dull of sale, most lines being turned out.
