AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.

Mr Peter Williams (for Ffledhmdec Bros ) reports for the week ending Tuesday, 7th June, 1887. On Friday, 3rd inst., we held our second skin sale of the season, at our Eait Street Horse Bazaar. The entry was a large one, over 3000 skins oame forward, and were all sold at very satisfactory prices, viz :— Orossbreds, 2s 7d np to 3s 4d ; crossbred lambs, 2s ; inferior orossbreds, Is 3d to 33 ; merinos, la9d to 3s; inferior, la to Is 3d. Our next sale takes place on Friday, June 19.h. On Saturday, 4th lost., we held our weekly sale of horses at our East Street Horse Bazaar. The entry oonsisted of 13 horses, mostly haokß. We sold at the following prices .'—Medium draughts, £13 to £16 ; 7-year-old mare, good stamp, £50. Good young sound draught? are still enquired for, but anything over 7 years la diffioult to quit. Inferior hacks, £1 15>, £4, £5 2* 6d. Previous to the horsea we aold chest drawers, £4 5% ; wire woven mattress, £2 15s ; single do, £2 ; stove, £2 2a 6<i ; Derwent potatoes, 45a per ton; prime mnttoD, l£d ; Inferior, Id ; onions, Id to l£d ; fowls wheat, 9s per bag ; pork, 2£i per ib ; bacon, 3d to 4d per lb ; geese, 5a 6d per pair. We beg to oall speolal attention to our sale of Mr Dudley's furniture, which takes plaoa to-day at 11 o'olook. At ihe Ashburton yards on Tuesday, 7th inst. abiut 6500 sheep, 30 head of cattle, and 16 pigs were brought forward. The attendance was large, both of farmers and dealers, and judging from the bidding and prices obtained there is a vast improvement m the sheep market, all good lots of young sheep were eagerly sought after. Fat crossbred ewe 3 fetohed 5s lOd ; 2 tooth crossbred wethers 8s Id ; 2, 4, and 6-tooth crossbreds, mixed, 6i 4d to 7s 9d ; medium croßabred lambs, 4s 4d to 4s 5i ; fall-mouth merino eweß, Is 6d to 2s 6d ; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 7s 9i ; crossbred ewea, mixed ages, 3s 10 i ; mixed ages, crossbred ewes m lamb, 4a lid and 53 Id ; mixed 2-tootbß, iv forward condition, 7s 91, 83 Id; to 8a 7d. Fat o^ws and heifers, £3 15s to £5 ; forward ateeia, £4 to £5 5a j store pigs, 17s 6d to 225.
