Radical Reform league. Auckland, J une 7. The Radical Reform League at a meeting last night resolved only to support candidates pledged to a land and lncme tax, the abolition of plural voting, a laigo reduction In the cost of Government, the abolition of the Upper House, increased duty on goods that can be manufactured m the colony, and a reduction of dctles on the neceesuida of life. The meeting alao agreed that a State Bank of Issue is necessary, and the appointment of 'a Commission to invee ijjate the currenoy question. Calls. The Auckland Piesbytery this morning sustained a unanimous call from St David's Church to the Kov Qeo. Lindsay, Oamaru, and also sustained a oil from Whangarel Ghurth to Rev B. Hudson. The Salvation Army. Wellington, Jane 7. The Salvation Army intend to celebrate the Jubiloe by giving a dinner to one thousand poor children. Appointment. It is understood that Mr W. T. Glasgow, at present chief! clerk m the Customs Department, will bo appointed to fill the position of secretary, rendered vacant by Mr W. Seed retiring on pension.
