ACCIDENTS AT SEA
[rBUXER's TELEGRAMS— COPYRIGHT.] Brisbane, April 28 ( The British India steamer Dorunda, ' which arrived, reports that on the 20th < March a collision occurred m the China seas between the steamer Benton ; and another vessel, by which 150 of the I passengers and crew on the former : were drowned. ' Later. Further news from Singapore by the steamer Dorunda reports that the steamer Benton, which collided with some other vessel m the China seas, sank, and 150 persons were drowned. Sydney, April 28. The troopship Tyne passed Green Cape flying a flag half-mast. The 1 nature of the accident is yet unknown. Later. The troopship Tfne, with relief crews for her Majesty's ships on the Australian station, arrived here to-day m company with her Majesty's surveying vessel Myrmidon. She reports having collided with the latter. The Tyne is considerably damaged about the bows, and her stem is much twisted and torn. When the collision took place her fore compartments filled ( with water, and the vessel would have sunk but for her collision bulkheads. No casualties occurred on either vessel. Some of the Myrmidon's boats were smashed, and she snstained other slight damage.
