THE CAIN CASE.
The Tlmaru correspondent of the Dim*din Evening Star writes :—“ I have just iearnod some news confirmatory of the wire sent from Wellington re the Cain case. Of cotfse the authorities will not. divulge what are now s-.-crets to all but them until the proper Mine c met ; but I understand that the evidence they h ve .'Ot points conclusively to the fact that certain goods arrived atTimsru from Home a few days before Captain Cain wag seized with his last and what proved to be his fatal illness, and that among these goods were some poisons. Hall is said to be very closely associated with the goods that came from the Old OjU'.'i;', I expeo an arrest to take place at any hour now”
