The following is the Corn Exchange report for the week ending Friday, the 2Gth November : There has besn a fair amount of business transacted in the wheat and oats market, but oth-T produce is almost entirely neglected, many lines being out of season. Wheat has had a brisk enquiry, and late quotations are firmly maintained. Pear! is moat scarce at 4i 6d to 4s 7d ; while Tuscan and hunter’s command 4s 6i to 4a 61 ; second quality baa not participated in any advance that has taken piece and does not fetch more than 4s 2d to 4s 3 ; chicken wheat market continues bare at 3a 81 to 3r lid. Oats still continue on the decline, and to effect, gales substantial concessions have to be made on the part of sellers. Few o dors are to band for shipping parcels. The Southern markets are commencing to cut. in order to reduce their heavy stocks. Milling, although lightly held, are not brisk at 2s Id to 2s 2d ; short feed are very quiet at Is lid to 2s ; snd Danish and Tartars are almost unsaleable, sales having been made as low as la fid. Barley has but little business to record. Mal.ing is nominally 2$ 8d to 2s lid ; feed, 2a 2d to 2s 4d. Beans and peas have no business passing '.j’rass Seeds—The season being over no reliable quotations can be given Potatoes—Stocks are gradually getting less, but local requirements are now so very small that there are large quantities sure to go to waste, as the outside markets allow no margin whatever. Sales, locally, are being made at 15s to 20s at country stations. Dairy Produce—This market is very dull, aud to effect sales butter has to be completely sacrificed. Cheese, however, has a fair trade enquiry at 4£d to 6d, according to siza and quality. The above prices (potatoes excepted) are for delivery f.o.b, at Lyttelton. (
