The ground is in g;fi.,d fielding c>ndiiioa, and though it may besomewhat bumpy m the dry woatb r yet with the cocoanuc matting pi-oh on it, there ought to be a splendid wicket, and w> hope that there will be a good muster, with the attraction of iawa tennis beside, for non crickete 8. d’he S crcary is in correspondence with some of the Christchurch and other outside Ciuba wi h the view of getting some of their teams to pay a visit to Ashburton during the season, when, no doubt, the Aahburtonites will render a good account of themselves.
The Club will play a match on the “ Sports ground ” next Saturday, play to commence at 2 p. m. All members and intending members are invited to roll op.
