Auckland, August 25. The Sydney Football Team arrived today by the ss. Rotomahana. They are : — P Allan, J. Austin, T. Belbridge, R. Rlacksland, C. Y. Caird, P. Oolquhouo, E Cameron, T. P. Carr, G. VV. Macarthnr, A. Pearson, ET. Read, J, Shaw, M Shortm, G. Walker, E. Weaver, K Warren, Worlnough, and Wiaeheart, the latter being a Sou tan hero.

A Sydney paper says the team is regarded as the strongest combination that has ever loft the colony. Some of the forwards are a t'ilia light, but the backs are wonderfully fast. Blacksland, Carr, and Short is represent Junior Clubs, but they are well worth their places. The team do not visit the Waikato The match with Auckland tikes place cn Saturday.
