The weather was fine, but the attendance during the day was small. The wicket was much cut up. The AustraMans continued their second innings, which closed for 121 tuna, Spofforth carrying out his bat for 20; Scott, bowled, 47, Garrett, ciugbt, 22, being the other principal scorers. Barlow was the most successful bowler for the E glishmen, securing seven wickets fo- 40 ana The Home team, who re- ( quired 106 runs to win, went in for their 1 second innings, and on the fall of ths j sixth wicket, had put together IC7 runs. I The principal scorers were— Scotton, bowled, 29 ; Bir ov, caught, 30 ; Steel, not out, 19. j AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN. First innings ... ... 205 Second innings 123 Total 328 ALL ENGLAND. Fiist innings ... ... 223 Second innings 107 Total for six wickets... 330 The Englishmen thus won the match by two runs, with four wickets to spare. OXFORD v. OAMBBILGB. The Inter-University cricket match. Oxford versus Cambridge, resulted in a victory for Oxford.
