ALFORD FOREST SCHOOL DISTRICT.
Election of Committee. A special meeting of the householders of the Alford Forest School District was hold in the Schoolhouse, Alford Forest, on Monday evening for the purpose of electing a School Committee for the ensuing year, the annual election bovine been declared invalid by the Board oi Education. suited in the election of gentmmeu:— H, Mnirhead ... ... 32 W. C. Chapman ... ... 23 T. Simpson ... ... ... 28 C. Greevea ... 25 Jas Rowe ... ... ... 2-1 U. Bates 23 L. C. Bimbar ... ... 22 Party fooling ran very bigh, but the htmoat good feeling prevailed. Votes of thanks were accorded to the Chairman and Scrutineers.
At the first meeting of the Committee, held immediately after the meeting of householders, Mr Chapman was appointed Chairman and Mr Bhnber Treasurer,
